Nancy Drew Message in a Haunted Mansion - Find the Tapestry Symbols

This time around, Nancy Drew has been asked to stay in a Victorian Mansion. Rose Green the owner, would like Nancy to investigate all of the recent accidents that has happened and although Nancy is skeptical, her partner seems to think that the mansion is haunted.

Nancy Drew - Find the Chinese Symbols

This Nancy Drew game is a bit different because from the beginning, Nancy sees a Chinese tapestry in her bedroom. In Junior mode some words are carefully highlighted and you should write them down. Throughout the game if you look carefully, Chinese characters and symbols will show up in different places and will let you know which symbol matches a certain word. The words and symbols help to solve a puzzle later in the game. Without finding the Chinese characters that match the English words, you cannot solve the puzzle.

Daughter - This symbol is the first to be found if a player knows what they are looking for. In Nancy's bedroom a dragon statue holds the daughter symbol.

Fire - The fire symbol can be easily found downstairs by Rose. One of the drawers can be opened and inside is an insurance policy that talks about fire. The fire symbol will show up on that piece of paper.

River - Go downstairs to the same place that Abby hosted the Séance. While going down the stairs, to the right of the area will be a piano. Go over and click on the piano bench. When it opens, the sign for river will be visible.

Beginning - In the attic if you got the key from Nancy's bed earlier in the game, you can open up the desk. Inside will be a piece of paper that has the symbol for beginning.

Eye - Rose asks Nancy to fix the small dumbwaiter in the hallway. When Nancy uses the old, broken iron to fix it, you are able to open the dumbwaiter and see what is inside. A tile will have the next symbol for eye.

Four - Enter the Parlor room and then go into the library. On a table will be a mahjong game in progress. One of the tiles has the symbol for four.

Child - After the secret room in the library has been opened, inside will be a portrait of a little girl. It holds the symbol for child.

Moon - Once Nancy is able to sneak into Abby's room, search through one of her drawers. Inside will be a romance novel and on it the symbol for moon.

King - In the basement when Charlie is not around, Nancy can finally open the fireplace using the crowbar and discover another secret passageway. Crawl into the small passage and find out that someone has been sleeping in the area. A Chinese food box is on the floor and on the box is the king Chinese character.

Gold - The final symbol and character to find is for the word gold. Near the end of the game, everyone leaves the castle and Rose tells you that a letter is in Nancy's bedroom. Read the letter and notice a symbol for gold.
