Several of the cases Nancy Grace has covered include Michael Jackson, John Mark Karr, Scott Peterson, as well as the kidnapping of Elizabeth Smart. Grace was brought international media coverage when 21 year old Melinda Duckett commited suicide after having been interviewed by Grace. Duckett was interviewed in regards to the disappearance of her 2 year old son Trenton. A wrongful death suit brought on behalf of Duckett's estate was brought upon CNN as well as Grace herself- the claim stated that media scrutiny (especially that from Grace) was an influence in the suicide.
Grace attended both New York University ( Master of Laws), and the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University. She was propelled into law school after having experienced the death of her fiance. This is where her stance on victim's rights stems from.
Grace won nearly 100 trials without loss prosecuting such offences as serial murder, serial rape, serial child molestation, and arson prior to her leaving law for broadcasting.
Grace is known for her controversial stances on high profile cases as well as on air antics. She has been known to cut off guests mid-sentence, disregarding them to make a point, and throwing books symbolic of poor court house conduct.( as with the Anna Nicole Smith coverage)

Post a Commentseconed half read paragraph below first:people are attacking her saying she should die. Accusations are perfectly leagal and police do it all the time. Death threats are not..Somthing to chew on. Nacy is just doing her job and if you don't like it why do you watch? To criticize and berate Nancy makes you no better than her so you must hate yourselves as well.. Nacy we know your a good mama and would do anything to protect your little ones so please know that we know your proud and you dont need the publics aproval or gratitude. Just be a good mama bear and put your baby cubs behind your back where they are protected. Love Ya, Keneda
I do watch Nancy Grace because I think it's good television.Nancy covers alot of the detailed aspects of whats going on in each case. However I would not use my children to promote myself and subject their names and pictures to the public and every phsyco in it..As she has fans she has also developed a reputation as an overzealous attackmonger who sizes people up too quickly and as much as she obviously loves her children she needs to realize that her high profile position on television makes her a walking target for disgruntled maniacs who may have no scrouples. We all have opinions but dragging your little ones on to the set is poor judgement for such a smart woman. Being in the public forum is dangerous for any celebrity. Weve seen many cases where celebs have been stalked, blackmailed, ect. by people who have sick obsessions with them and to think of those precious babies being posted on tv. just makes my stomache turn when I see all the hate posts going up about her show and how som
Very nicely done.
I think she is a great talent but she does sometimes take things a bit too far. If she didn't make it flamboyant no one would watch unfortunately!
Good riddance to NASTY GRACELESS, she is one of the most rude, crude, inaccurate and self-important talking wobble heads on TV! It seems a lot of people focus on 100 convictions, but this is what the Chief Justice of the Georgia Supreme court had to say about just one of nasty graceless's overturned cases, "Chief Justice Robert Benham, writing for a unanimous Supreme Court, found that the convictions must be reversed due to the presentation of inadmissible evidence. The court also found that the assistant district attorney who tried the case "engaged in an extensive pattern of inappropriate and, in some cases, illegal conduct in the course of the trial."
"We conclude that the conduct of the prosecuting attorney in this case demonstrated her disregard of the notions of due process and fairness, and was inexcusable," Benham added."
I just hope this happy news is correct and we can only hope CNN will wise up & get rid of nasty graceless!
Nice work.
Interesting news. I had to quit watching Nancy Grace because her content and her style is so intense and overpowering. I could no longer handle all the rape stories, murder stories, abduction stories, etc. Don't get me wrong - I am sympathetic to that kind of news and pray for those families, but I need some balance of good things, too. I wish her well, though.
I have never seen her shows, but have heard a lot about them. Good coverage!
They parody her on SNL to the best. I hope she shows up there one day in a cameo. Good luck on her. When I read how she got started as a trial lawyer I began to understand her passion more. Sometimes you need ideological extremists to test your own philosophical beliefs.
That's too bad - she has such an intelligent show.
