Nancy's Horror and Para-Something

My favorite if I have to pick one is Stir of Echoes with Keven Bacon. If you haven't seen it know that you are missing out on something. A married couple rent a house in the city only to find out that it is haunted by the spirit of a teenage murder victim. Need I say more? Nah I'm going to leave you hanging.

The Sixth Sense. Ten stars and no secrets released here. See the movie. All I'm going to say is that Bruce Willis isn't blowing anything up in this movie. It's about a little boy who sees dead people. Where does Bruce fit in? Come on. You've seen this movie. If you haven't get it now. Right now! A must see for anyone interested in the paranormal.

Hard Candy. I'm serious about including this one in my list of must see movies for Halloween even though it doesn't have any mention of the paranormal. This movie is not normal. A sico-sadistic tale of a teen girl who goes online to trap a child killer.. this movie breaks every rule. Caution men in the room, this is a torture tale also not suitable for young women who need to be on medication. lol

I'm also serious about including Fractured. This is a complex, compelling story about a man who thinks he can muniplilate the state while getting away with killing his wife. Trust me. Both Hard Candy and Fractured will freak you out.

This halloween, why not keep it real? with Monster. Again send the men out of the room. This is the true story of a female serial killer. Don't expect sex right away if he sees this one.

The Ring, Part One will tramatize you to the point you might never see part two. And this one really is para-something. Just please unplug the phone. Don't say I didn't warn you. I have to admitt this is a good one.

If you're into teenage witches who offer more bite than Sabrina, check out the cult classic ,The Craft. The main character's name is Nancy and she is scary.I don't know why so many horror films were made with characters who share my name.

I still stand by Lost Highway, but don't wonder if the actors sold their souls to make this one. This 'un here deals with the dark side. on so many levels. It really could be titled Highway to Hell. Next to Stephen King's The Stand this is the scariest movie I've ever seen.

Johnny Depp in Sweeney Todd will rock your socks if you don't mind grafic bloody scenes and brutal murder. I won't say it's done tastefully, but this madd musical set in the olden days will turn your heart inside out for sure, there's a strong lack of humanity expressed in the movie, a twist of tainted fate. The humor is off color though it is in it's own creepy way shall we say littered with manic boughts of humor. Make no mistake, this is hard core art. It will hardly be appreciated by those who lack tolerance for the theatre.

Secret Window is an A class movie, excellent script though it's been underlooked by some critics. Honestly, Johnny Depp this is one of the best damn movies I've ever seen. You portray a bitter delusional novelist who is going through a divorce which prompts him to black out and kill people who get in his way. You're always the pirate in every movie.

The Lake House is not the least bit frightening, but it is magical , perfect if you're the sort of person who wants to believe the universe is on our side.

House of a Thousand Corpses on the other hand was not intended for the faint of heart or if you get light headed. This is a HORROR film without any ghosts or goblins. After you see this Lost Highway won't even phase you. House of a Thousand Corpses is a Rob Zombie movie and let me tell you nobody does horror like this man. You will want to watch this with someone you trust and lock all your doors. This really is a sick movie, but it's worth watching though it takes awhile to get well afterwards. lol Yes, this one bares witness to the ugly people who just don't give a damn with a taste of the Manson family. Afterwards you may need theraphy. If you like sick movies, Rob Zombie has made at least a few.

If you'd rather think uplifting entertainment check out The SinEater. This is the most inspirational movie I've ever seen next to the good ole movies depicting the dawn of christ. This one has a hint of the para-perfect with an angel or two.

The Village is for anyone who doesn't believe in monsters or for anyone who puts too much stock in monster myths. This delightful movie will touch you deep down. You will walk away with a clearer head wich is more than I can say for Rob Zombie movies. lol No offense.

I'm only talking about movies worth seeing. Movies not worth mentioning aren't worth mentioning.

Old or new a good movie is still unknown to you until you actually see it. All of these movies are worth seeing twice, but once will probably be more than you can likely handle on some of them.
