Naomi Campbell Forced to Work in Sanitation Garage

Mr. Anderson
Naomi Campbell has been in and out if legal trouble for some time. She has recently been ordered to work at the Manhattan District 3 Garage at Pier 36. She'll be working for the department of sanitation for the next five days. This is part of her sentence for throwing a cell phone at her maid because of a missing pair of jeans.

Campbell arrived at the garage on time, in a black SUV, wearing beige pants, a short coat with a flared bottom, high-heeled boots, a newsboy cap and sunglasses.

She ignored the media who waited for her, trying to catch a glimpse of the new sanitary worker. She was escorted inside by a garage official.

Naomi was issued a uniform with protective gloves, orange safety vest and dust mask.

"Miss Campbell arrived on time to work. She came ready to work," Albert Durrell, deputy chief of the Department of Sanitation, made a statement outside the garage to reporters. "We have plenty of work for her to do over the next five days," he stated.

One of Campbell's new coworkers added that the work she has yet to do isn't pretty. We can only speculate at what that work will entail.

"She'll be on her feet most of the day, with a big broom, sweeping inside the garage-dust, dirt, dirty liquids and things that fall off the trucks in there," the coworker said.

"She'll do that for hours-and if there's nothing to sweep, she'll have to look busy, walk around with the broom."

Campbell's rep made a statement saying that she was ready to do whatever work was required of her. "Naomi is ready to report and complete her community service, no matter where or what she will be assigned," the rep said.

Campbell pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault for throwing her cell phone in her apartment which accidentally connected with her maid Ana Scolavino's head. She did not admit that it was on purpose.

"I threw a cell phone in the apartment. The cell phone hit Ana," Campbell stated. "This was an accident, because I did not intend to hit her."

Along with completing five days of community service, Campbell had to pay the medical expenses of $363 for her maid and attend anger management counseling.

"I do honestly feel very sorry. I don't know if people will believe that. I mean I cannot believe I am sitting here," she said.

"And, I have said it before, but this time I truly mean it. I feel sorry and I am really going to learn from my mistakes."
