COLOR
Belly Dance is a duo of a shimmery bright green and a matte eggplant purple. They are super pigmented, and can work on any skin tone, the winning equation. I was first hesitant of swapping for this, but as soon as I did a google.com image search, I was in love. I saw all the different combinations and looks, and was praying that the swap would work out and fixating on when I would get my duo. But then, I started questioning if this duo was really as good as it seemed- I had never owned a NARS product before and was dubious of great color and great formula. I was pleasantly surprised.
FORMULA
The first word that comes to mind when I talk about a NARS shadow is perfect. The color payoff is always outstanding and they are also very soft. Some shadows are too soft in my opinion, but these are great. They are very long-lasting, they blend very easily, and they are fun to work with. You can just swipe them on very fast or play with them for awhile and build up the color to make your eyes too hard to pass up. No matter what you do, however, the finished look always looks chic and flawless. The formula for this duo should never be questioned, as there will be no disappointment surrounding it.
FUNCTIONALITY
This duo is fabulous for an array of uses. You can build the color up, leave the color down, put the purple in the crease, put the green in the crease, etc. But, as I have stated, whatever you decide to do with this duo will look perfect. Sometimes I also use these colors as funky liners, or duo liners for an even crazier look. I love playing with this duo, and recommend it to someone a little more skilled in makeup, as the colors can be a little intimidating.
PRICE
This duo is discontinued, so I cannot tell you how much you'd pay for it if you found it. However, NARS duos run at $32 for about 4 grams, which is a steal when you compare it to other eyeshadows in the industry. Though Belly Dance is gorgeous, if you can't find it, I recommend any of the other duos.
PACKAGING
There is not much to say about the packaging, as it is NARS. It is a black compact with the white NARS symbol on the front. Simple, yet sophisticated. What I like about these as opposed to other company's duos, is there is a break between the two colors. This ensures that the colors will not mix and fall out will go in the other color. I feel like their duo packaging is superior to other company's packaging.
FINAL OPINIONS
I love this duo because of how beautiful and sophisticated it is. I don't recommend these particular colors to a beginner, as they are very bold and could be hard to work with for some. You cannot buy this duo in stores anymore, but you could look around on the internet. I love this duo, and hope my review inspires you to find it and love it as much as I do.
