Naruto Releases It's Newest TCG Set Revenge and Rebirth

A Look at the Fouth Expansion in the Naruto Saga

Robert Guinn
After a long wait and teasers flying through the website since December we finally have the full confirmed list of the fourth set from the Naruto TCG Revenge and Rebirth. This new expansion promises to have the most powerful cards to date and bring a whole new element of play to the game. The commons are good, the uncommons are great, the Rares are crazy and the Supers are amazing! Collectors rejoice at the rate your investment will skyrocket and players sing praise at the sheer power of these cards.

Mental power decks are going to get a major boost with the new set. Shikamaru Nara (IQ 200+) is going to see lots of play, and mono water decks will finally get some great cards, like both the First and Second Hokage! Also more unusual deck combinations promise to come out of the woodwork, like for instance a Water/Earth deck? Every deck type received a massive update; however lighting did receive the smallest amount of cards, but there still awesome.

Your favorite clan of ninja, the Hyugas, have their very own cards like Gentle Fist Style: 8 Trigrams 64 Palms Rotation and 8 Trigrams Palm Rotation. Also Neji's father, Hizashi Hyuga comes out for battle, making the whole Hyuga family a force to be reckoned with. With the right cards and a solid strategy you may never be able to defy your destiny of defeat against the almighty Hyugas.

Satoosa and Sanin ninja have a few cards that pertain to only them. Infinite Darkness Jutsu is one such card. Every ninja that fights the user of this powerful jutsu is reduced to a 0/0 making an outstanding victory easy and simple. There are now more Sound ninja, so you can make better use of those Slicing Sound Waves and Sonic fangs that you have sitting at home. Gaara is still insane, Rock Lee is down but not out, Naruto and teams here and... what!? Might Guy and Kakashi team up on the same card!

That's right; the most powerful team in the Hidden Leaf Village is here with the most incredible power I have ever seen! They have both attributes or the Sharringan eye and Taijutsu, come out to play on turn five, and both the elements of Fire and Lightning. There stats are 7/3 healthy and 6/2 injured, and get this, when they defend they get and addition +1/+1 that's some power right there, but that's why they are Super rare. Their only draw back is that you have to put them into play on top of a Kakashi or Might Guy currently on your side of the field. They replace that ninja (like growth) but always come out healthy.

So for the collectors around here be sure to have a few copies of Might Guy and Kakashi around because everyone and his brother's going to want one. Also most of the other supers like Monkey King Enma, The Third Hokage, and Kabuto will be highly valued. The super rare jutsus are good, but not amazing like the characters. Reaper Death seal is great, and Chidori is going to be played in every deck so obviously they will be worth some big bucks.

This set will add so much to the game. We are getting a bit tired of seeing the same "Water/Fire Zabuza owns all" decks running rampant. This set adds a hint of strategy and unpredictability that we need to see in order for this game survive. Revenge and Rebirth is set to release on February 17th this year, and I can't even imagine what the pre-release events are going to be like. Naruto enters its fourth set and shows no sign of slowing down.

Naruto is the number one show in Japan. The trading card game is directly taken from the show, each card has character quotes taken from the show and go along with the scene depicted on the card
