NASCAR 2010 Daytona Subway Jalapeno 250: Las Vegas Odds to Win & Picks
Dale Jr Brings Back Dad's #3 Wranglers Car Owned by Richard Childress
The Daytona race will debut the Nationwide "Car of Tomorrow." Unlike it's predecessor, the NASCAR Cup "COT" the Nationwide version is a slick, hot and marketable car that will lead to excitement. It is a shame they will run the car at Daytona, since half the field will potentially be demolished.
Dale Earnhardt Jr & Richard Childress Potential Future?
Both Dale Jr and Rick Hendrick are dealing with the weekly questions as their #88 team languishes in mediocrity. Now that Dale Jr and Mark Martin worked together this year in an effort to bring the #88 team up to Hendrick standards, Mark Martin's team has taken a serious nosedive. With all this being played out publicly and Dale Jr in a Richard Childress #3, all eyes will be on the Wrangler team this weekend.
Dale Earnhardt Jr's prowess on the Daytona International Speedway is still not up to the legend of his father, but if he wins in the #3 Wrangler Chevy on Friday night it could be biggest event in Nationwide since, well since, Danica Patrick's 30th place finish last week at Loudon. Seriously though, Dale Jr is the 7-2 favorite, which translates to 3.5-1 and he is definitely worthy of action at the 7-2 price. Take Dale Earnhardt Jr at 7-2 to win the NASCAR Nationwide Daytona Subway Jalapeno 250.
Kevin Harvick Will be Looking to Score in His Own #33
Kevin Harvick cannot be ruled out at Daytona, especially since his own #33 has been in victory lane at Daytona
without him behind the wheel. All the more motivation for Harvick to steal the thunder from Dale Jr and put the #33 in victory lane. Harvick has done well behind the wheel and this is his best opportunity to gain more sponsor backing for his Nationwide program. Take Kevin Harvick as the co-favorite at 7-2 to win the NASCAR Nationwide Daytona Subway Jalapeno 250.
Everyone Loves a Long Shot. How About Justin Allgaier?
Penske Racing stepped up their NASCAR Nationwide program in 2010 with Brad Keselowski and everyone assumed it would push Allgaier on the back burner. Allgaier has risen to the occasion and made it known to the NASCAR Cup invaders, he won't take a back seat. With the Penske Racing engine package, Allgaier is a legitimate candidate to win his first major speedway, NASCAR Nationwide race. Place a small bet on Justin Allgaier at 30-1 to win the NASCAR Nationwide Daytona Subway Jalapeno 250.
