NASCAR driver Kevin Harvick is joining music and racing together again this Thursday, December 16th at Johnny and June's Ultra Saloon for the Kevin Harvick Foundation Christmas For Kids Concert. This special concert presented by 93.1 The Wolf will benefit Foster Friends of North Carolina and The Kevin Harvick Foundation. Proceeds will go to the benefit of foster children in Forsyth and Guilford Counties in North Carolina.
Doors open at Johnny and June's in Winston-Salem at 8:30 and the show will feature performances by country new comer Bridgette Tatum. Tatum co-wrote the Jason Aldean hit "She's Country" which was the most played song of 2009. Taking the stage after Tatum will be headliner Sara Evans, who is coming off the release of her first novel titled "The Sweet By And By" and has a song featured on the soundtrack of the upcoming Gwyneth Paltrow movie 'Country Strong', scheduled for release on January 2011.
Additional special guest will be Kyle Petty. Petty has a history in country music. It hasn't been indicated, but maybe he might be taking the stage. We'll see.
The Foster Friends of North Carolina is a charity close to The Harvick's.
"DeLana and I are extremely excited and thankful to have partnered with 93.1 The Wolf on this opportunity to help foster children in our area. The holiday's can be hard and we hope, that through this program, these kids will know that there are many people that care about them," said Kevin Harvick.
Foster Friends of North Carolina was established in 2005 to provide a brighter future to children experiencing foster care in Guilford County. They have since expanded their efforts into Forsyth County and continue with awards, art and creative writing workshops, and their JOURNEYS mentoring programs.
Admission to this holiday season show to benefit children who need our help is only $20 at the door and the donation of new unwrapped toy or cash donation. Click this link for a wish list of items needed for the children. You can't see top shelf entertainment these days for under $50 and when you add in a cause like this, it makes a great night for everyone.
