Qualifying 2011 NASCAR Nationwide Series at Phoenix International Raceway

The NASCAR Nationwide Series finished their final practice at Phoenix International Raceway Friday afternoon. Following the practice, NASCAR compiled the practice speeds from the first and second practice to come up with the qualifying order for Saturday's BASHA's Supermarkets 200. Qualifying will begin at 12:05 p.m. Phoenix local time and be carried live on SPEED TV at 2 p.m. eastern standard time on Saturday, February 26.

Joey Logano set the track qualifying record for the NASCAR Nationwide Series in November of 2010 with a fast lap of 134.048 miles per hour and and elapsed time of 26.8561 around the one mile track. Phoenix is one of the flatter tracks on the schedule with banking ranging from nine to eleven degrees in the corners and three to nine degrees on the on the straights. The front straight at Phoenix is 1179 feet and the backstretch is 1551 ft long. There have been three races won from the pole. the last time was in 2008 by Kyle Busch who is also the youngest winner of the race.
