NASCAR is well known for its high speed bumper to bumper racing. In 2009, the Busch Series was renamed to the Nationwide Series. There are 35 races scheduled for the 2009 series. The series starts February 14th in Daytona and ends November 21st in Homestead. In case you haven't been able to keep up with the drivers this year, here is a roll up with some additional information about each driver.

1. Kyle Busch: Drives the #18 Toyota part of the Joe Gibbs Racing team, Sponsored by M&Ms. Kyle was born May 2, 1985. He started racing in 2004. He was the youngest Busch Series Rookie of the Year ever in 2004, he placed second in points for the series.

2. Carl Edwards: Drives the #60 Scotts Ford Fusion, he began racing four cylinder mini-sprints at the age of 13 in 1993. He has also raced on the dirt circuit winning Rookie of the Year in the IMCA modified division. He started his Nascar career in 2000. Career highlights include Rookie of the Year in the Pro-Modified division, in 2000 he also won all three Sportsman division races in CA, MO, and at Capital Speedway. In 2005 he named Raybestos Rookie of the Year in the Busch Series. In 2007 he won the Busch Series championship. His official website is http://www.carledwards.com/

3. Jason Leffler: Drives the #38 Great Clips Toyota for the Braun Racing team. He was born September 16th, 1975. He began racing midget cars in 1997 and moved onto NASCAR in 2000. His first Busch Series win was at Nashville Speedway in 2004. He was the first driver to win a Busch Series race in a foreign car while driving the #38 Toyota in 2007. This was also his second Busch Series win.

4. Joey Lagano: Drives the #29 Home Depot Toyota. He is part of the Joe Gibbs Racing team. Joey was born May 24th, 1990. He started racing quarter midgets at 7. He started with NASCAR in 2003. He became the youngest series winner 2005.

5. Brad Keselowski: Drives the #88 Chevrolet for the JR Motorsports team. He sponsored by Delphi.

6. Jason Keller: Drives the #27 Ford for Baker Curb Racing team. His major sponsors are Kleenex, Depend Products and Rite Aid.

7. Scott Lagasse Jr.: Drives the #11 Toyota for the CJM Racing team. Scott is sponsored by America's Incredible Pizza Company.

8. Steve Wallace: Drives the #66 Chevrolet for the Rusty Wallace Racing team. He is sponsored by US Fidelis.

9. Michael McDowell: Drives the #47 Toyota for the JTG Daugherty Racing team. He is sponsored by Tom's Snacks.

10. Brendon Gaughan: Drives the #62 Chevrolet for the Rusty Wallace Race team. He is sponsored by 5-Hour Energy Extra Strength.

11. Mike Bliss: Drives the #1 Chevrolet for the Phoenix Racing team. Mike is sponsored by Miccosukee Resort and Gaming.

12. Kenny Wallace: Drives the # 28 Chevrolet for the Jay Robinson Racing team. He is sponsored by the U.S. Border Patrol.

13. Tony Raines: He drives the #234 Chevrolet for the Front Row Motorsports racing team. He is sponsored by Long John Silver's.

14. Michael Annett: Drives the #15 Toyota for the Germain Racing team. He is sponsored by Pilot Travel Centers.

15. Joe Nemechek: Drives the #87 Chevrolet for the NEMCO Motorsports racing team. He is sponsored my NEMCO Motorsports.

16. Kevin Harvick: Drives the #29 Chevrolet, part of the Richard Childress Racing team, sponsored by Shell and Pennzoil. Kevin was born December 8th, 1975, he started racing in 2001. That year he won the Raybestos Rookie of the Year honors. Before that, he raced go-karts on the National Karting Circuit, winning seven National Championships. Career highlights: in 2001, he was the driver that replaced Dale Earnhardt Senior. He is the 2006 Busch Series Champion. In 2007 he won the Daytona 500.

17. Matt Kenseth: Drives the #17 Ford. He is part of the Roush Racing Team. His major sponsor is DeWalt. Matt was born March 10th, 1972. His official rookie season was in 2000 in which he was the Raybestos Rookie of the Year. His career highlights include being the Nextel Cup Champion in 2003. 18. Eric McClure: Drives the #24 Ford for the Rensi-Hamilton Racing team. He is sponsored by Hefty.

19. Brandon Whitt: Drives the #61 Ford for the Specialty Racing team. He is sponsored by Specialty Racing.

20. Danny O' Quinn Jr.: Drives the #01 Chevrolet for the JD Motorsports racing team. He sponsored by Black's Tire and MC2 Energy Drink.

21. Morgan Shepherd: Drives the #89 Chevrolet for the Faith Motorsports racing team. He is sponsored by Lagina Plumbing and Eldora Speedway.

22. Brian Keselowski: Drives the #26 Dodge for the K-Automotive Motorsports team. He is sponsored by Schweitzer Title.

23. Jeff Burton: Drives the #31 Caterpillar Chevrolet for Richard Childress Racing. Born June 29th, 1967. Began racing in 1986. Won five Busch series races in 2002. He finished sixth in series points in 2008.

24. Scott Wimmer: Drives the # 5 Chevrolet for the JR Motorsports racing team. He is sponsored by Fastenal.

25. Brian Vickers: Drives the #83 Red Bull Toyota for the Red Bull Racing team. Born October 24th, 1983. He finished 19th in Busch Series points in 2008.

26. John Wes Townley: Drives the #09 Ford for the RAB Racing team. He is sponsored by Zaxby's.

27. Greg Biffle: Drives the #16 3M Ford for Roush Fenway Racing. He is the only driver in NASCAR history to win the Busch and Truck series championships and the only driver to win Rookie of the year awards in both of the series.

28. Dale Earnhardt Jr.: Drives the number 88 Chevrolet, part of the Hendrick Motorsports team, sponsored by AMP Energy drink and the National Guard. Born October 10, 1974, started racing 1999 but his official rookie season was in 2000. Major career highlights include Busch Series Champion in 98' and 99'. In 2008 he joined Hendrick Motorsports Team. Well known from his father Dale Earnhardt Senior who was killed during the 2001 Daytona 500.

29. Kenny Hendrick: Drives the #42 Dodge for the Smith-Ganassi Racing team. He is sponsored by BailoutforBarney.com and Smith Ironworks.

30. Casey Atwood: Drives the #05 Chevrolet for the Day Enterprises Motorsports team. He is sponsored by 31-W Insulation.

31. Michael Waltrip: Drives the #55 NAPA Toyota for the Michael Waltrip Racing team. Born April 30th, 1963. He finished 29th in Busch points in 2008. He began is career racing go-karts in the 1970s. He was the torch bearer for the 2002 Olympic Torch Relay in Salt lake City.

32. Paul Menard: Drives the #98 Ford for the Yates Racing team. Sponsored by Schrock and Menards. Born August 21st, 1980. Finished 26th in Busch series points in 2008. Began racing go-karts at 8, he also competes in ice racing in Wisconsin.
