Natalee Holloway Body and Pictures Found

Newest Developments After Pennsylvania Couple Take Photos of Possible Remains

Jan Corn
As I wrote yesterday here, Natalee Holloway's body may have been found by a Pennsylvania couple vacationing in Aruba. Photos taken certainly are raising suspicions about whether the pictures will truly reveal that Natalee Holloway's body was indeed discovered.

She disappeared five long years ago. Since then, forensic experts, including a medical examiner, are pushing authorities to treat this as true potential evidence, with possible clues that could finally solve questions about the crime.

Even after five years, the body tissues could provide evidence. As hard as it is to believe that a body resting on the bottom of an ocean floor would have any potential for providing clues to Holloway's disappearance or cause of death, some experts, according to FoxNews.com, say otherwise. Human teeth tend to remain in the best shape and decompose slowly. They are among potential clues which could be used.

Because of all the publicity, the FBI and Aruban authorities do intend to investigate the body and updates will be forthcoming. However, the Aruban police may begin the investigation and the FBI may or may not step in. So much depends on the validity of the photos and what is unearthed after that.

The disappearance of Natalee Holloway captured the public's attention after she disappeared while on vacation. Perhaps some of the attention struck in the hearts of parents who also had 18-year-old daughters and could relate to the fears and worry felt by the Holloway family after their young and attractive daughter simply seemed to vanish. Although Jordan van Der Sloot and companions were arrested, there was no break in the discovery of the body - till recently.

How high are the chances that this will turn out to Holloway's body? Admittedly, experts say they are low, but her family has been persistent in trying to get answers. Even if this doesn't turn out to help solve the Natalee Holloway case, it could contain updates on another unsolved case, another person gone missing, another family waiting for answers. For all these reasons, authorities feel obligated to pursue the lead.

Interesting. I am sure her parents would like closure on this. I didn't see this in the news, so I don't know where they found the body. Hopefully the case will be solved one of these days.

I agree with Lisa. I can't imagine how that mom must feel to have that wound still open after all these years. She's never given up hope.
