Since making her movie debut as a 13 year old in The Professional Natalie Portman has starred in 18 movies. Mainly to due her roles in the Star Wars movies Natalie Portman is one of the most successful actresses in Hollywood in terms of her movies making money.
These are the biggest box office Natalie Portman movie hits and flops.
Natalie Portman Movies Biggest Box Office Hits
1) Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999) - $924 million
Natalie Portman stars as Queen Padme Amidala along with Liam Neeson, Ewan McGregor, Samuel L. Jackson and Keira Knightly who played the Queen's body-double. Having seen the first Star Wars movie as a kid and being amazed by it I have to say this movie was a bit of a disappointment. It has all the special effects and everything but lacks the charm of the first movie. Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace had a $115 million budget.
2) Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005) - $849 million
Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith had a budget of $113 million and all the charm of a Lifetime Original Movie. The original Star Wars had an $11 million budget and made $776 million at the box office which is billions today if adjusted for inflation.
3) Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002) - $649 million
This movie also had a $115 million budget.
4) V for Vendetta (2006) - $133 million
V for Vendetta had a budget of $54 million and brings to life the comic book series with same name. Natalie Portman is the only real star in the film which has an odd cult following today.
5) Closer (2004) - $116 million
Closer had a budget of $27 million and did well at the box office as Julia Roberts, Jude Law and Clive Owen co-star with Natalie Portman.
