Which state has the highest per capita beer consumption? If you guessed Montana, you guessed right. Each Montanan drinks an average of 43.7 gallons of beer a year. (Not 43 beers, 43.7 gallons of beer!) The state with the lowest beer consumption is Utah, with each person averaging a mere 19.1 gallons a year.
What's the most popular beer in the United Sates? When you say Budweiser, you haven't said it all. The most popular beer in the good ole U.S. of A. is Bud Light.
What's the biggest beer holiday in the US? Go ahead. I'll give you a minute to guess. When are the most cases of beer sold? The highest beer sales occur on 4th of July, Labor Day, Memorial Day, Father's Day, Christmas/New Year's Eve, Thanksgiving, Easter, and Superbowl; in that order.
What's the most expensive beer in the world? According to The Most Expensive Journal, the world's most expensive beer is Tutankhamun Ale, which sells for $52 a bottle. The reason it's so expensive is because it's not brewed in a brewery, it's brewed in a laboratory following a recipe found in the Egyptian Temple of Queen Nefertiti, King Tut's mother.
Is beer nutritious? There's a popular myth that beer provides essential nutrients, but that's nothing more than a myth. Just look at the nutrition facts label on a beer. It's pretty much a big line of zeros except for calories and
carbohydrates. That's what's called "empty" calories.
How many breweries are in the US? There were over 1500 breweries in the United Sates in 2009 (the last year statistics are available). A whopping 97% of those are independent, or craft, breweries, leaving only 20 major breweries in the US.
