If you are really lucky in your life, you will actually work with that unique Best Boss person who not only shapes your work ethic, but shapes your whole life and career. The Best Boss becomes a friend for life; a person whom you stay in contact with even after you no longer work together; a person that you always talk about to others; a person that you want to be just like when you are a boss. Your best boss praises employees for exceptional work and accomplishments.
Your best boss does not take all the credit for the work done by the employees.
Your best boss recognizes and rewards strong work ethic.
Your best boss takes an interest and if possible, helps with any special needs or personal needs you have that are limiting your production.
Your best boss recognizes your weaknesses and provides for training and mentoring to help you improve and succeed.
Your best boss solicits communication and ideas for improvement from the bottom up.
Your best boss works as hard as you do.
Your best boss provides constructive criticism of your performance when needed and gives an opportunity for improvement.
Your best boss never embarrasses you or reprimands you in front of other employees or managers.
Your best boss is someone you would recommend to another employer and employee.
