As Chipotle Mexican Grill representative Colin confirmed today on the food chain's Facebook page, it's "business as usual" during today's "fan made event", and there will be no free burritos. Chipotle-fan David Dressen questioned Colin further on the National Chipotle Day 2010 confusion, pointing out, "You get a free donut at Dunkin' Donuts on National Donut day, though!"
Colin swiftly replied, "Donuts are 75 cents; burritos are not. Just sayin'."
Regardless of whether there are free burritos or no free burritos (and there are no free burritos), Chipotle certainly is worth a visit today to celebrate the fan-made National Chipotle Day 2010. Though not a cheap fast food option, the chain prides itself on giving customers quick, custom-ordered food with no junk and when possible, local ingredients from family farms.
Lunch or dinner at Chipotle Mexican Grill shouldn't run more that $8 per person including one main item, an extra side garnish/condiment (such as chips or fresh guacamole) and a drink.
You can visit the official Chipotle fan page on Facebook here, as well as the unofficial, fan-made National Chipotle Day 2010 page right here! Check out Chipotle.com for more information, menu items and locations. Now hurry up, National Chipotle Day 2010 is almost over!

Post a CommentWow, good heads up.
I sure wish they were giving away those burritos.
thanks for clearing this up... :o)
LOL funny story!
I love Mexican food
I got a burrito the other day, the person who rang up my order drew laces on it, should I eat it or spike it?
I got all excited when I got an inbox alert about this one. I didn't even know it was rumored that they were free. I respect Chipotle for supporting "Food, Inc." and humane farming (the link is in the recommended stuff on your page). I don't know about your calculations though. For a veggie bowl $5.95 and chips $1.15, that's $7.10 w/o tax and $7.85 w/tax. If I got a drink, that'd lean towards $9. I'm guessing the price depends on the city because I spend $9 easily. (I looked at a recent receipt when I read this. That tells you how much I love the place.)
YUM I love that stuff!
