National Donut Day 2009 Means Free Donuts from Dunkin Donuts, Krispy Kreme and LaMar's
Free Donuts Offered by Donut Chains Today to Celebrate
Krispy Kreme's free donut offer is completely free
Krispy Kreme will generously offer each and every consumer a free donut today in observance of National Donut Day. The free donut is limited to one per customer and there is no purchase required. Krispy Kreme has franchises in most states, excepting a large portion of New England and several mid-west states. Of course, every day is a free donut day if you happen by when the hot light is on! Krispy Kreme has over 500 locations world-wide.
LaMar's Donut's and Coffee offers free glazed donut
Like Krispy Kreme, LaMar's chains across the nation are also observing National Donut Day. LaMar's, like Krispy Kreme, will not require a purchase to qualify for a free donut. LaMar's is offering each customer that comes in to its stores today a free Ray's Original Glazed Donut. LaMar's is a regional chain with 30 locations in six states: Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska.
Dunkin Donut's free donut requires a purchase
Dunkin Donuts is also celebrating National Donut Day by offering a free donut to customers; however, customers are required to make a purchase to be given a free donut. Dunkin Donuts is offering a free donut with the purchase of any beverage, while supplies last. Order a small coffee to go with your free donut and enjoy a cheap breakfast or quick snack. Dunkin Donuts franchises have a presence in 34 states, with nearly 6,400 locations located in the United States.
Free Donut tips:
A quick phone call to your favorite donut location could save some angst. Be sure that your store is participating and confirm that they have enough donuts on hand before you venture out today to snag your food freebie in observance of National Donut Day. While two of the above donut retailers offer the donut completely free, buying even a small beverage as a show of appreciation for your free donut is a nice gesture.

Are you TRYING to contribute to the delinquency of a chocoholic?
I didn't even know this. It's kinda late in the day for a donut now, but if I'm out and about if they have any, I'll give it a try. Thanks. :-)
I just might have to stop by a Krispy Kreme today.
SWEET!
Thank you for this reminder.
