I've been to National Tire & Battery tire service in Richardson Texas twice for similar reasons. The first time was to fix a flat tire, and the second to fix a slow leak in the tire.
This review is based on both visits to National Tire & Battery in Richardson.
Atmosphere
The atmosphere is clean and just like any other tire service place in Richardson. There is a large waiting area in the back of the building of National Tire & Battery with a TV, comfortable chairs, coffee, water, magazines, and restrooms. The waiting area is located right next to the shop area where they work on the cars, so you can see your vehicle while they service it.
Customer Service at National Tire & Battery
My first visit to National Tire & Battery was right before they closed. The staff there was kind enough to take the car even though they had less than ten minutes before they closed. They checked out the tire (which was totally flat) and immediately took it back, had the tire fixed, and the car returned to us within 15 minutes.
The charge was only $11.00. The people were very nice an efficient.
On the second visit, the tire had a slow leak (not the same tire or car as the first visit). Customer service was still very nice, but a little pushier about trying to get us to buy a tire service warranty. The charge was $23.00, which I thought was odd that it cost over $10 more to fix a slow leak than a flat tire.
We waited for over an hour before the tire was done.
Overall Impression of National Tire & Battery in Richardson
Overall I'd say it's a pretty good place to go if you have a problem with your tires. The service is generally good and I've never had a problem with any of the work they've done. But it could take a while, so I'd call ahead of time if possible and find out how long the wait is before going there.
