National UFO Cover Up Ordered by Winston Churchill

Churchill and Eisenhower Agreed to Hide UFO Reports

Tony Payne
According to documents just released by the national Archives, Winston Churchill ordered that a UFO sighting made by RAF Bomber Crews during World War Two be kept a secret for 50 years, to avoid mass panic among the population of England.

People often drew what they saw and sent the drawings to the Ministry Of Defence, and some of the newly released papers show that the threat of UFO's was taken seriously enough for intelligence chiefs in the UK to meet and discuss the topic.

A report from these meetings showed that in 1957, reports of UFO sightings were at the level of one a week.

UFO reports were at their peak in 1996 however, coinciding with the popularity of the show X Files.

More than 600 reports of UFO's were logged in 1996 alone, compared with an average of only 240 in the previous five years.

Nick Pope, who worked for the Ministry Of Defence as an investigator of UFO sightings (what a great job by the way), said that interestingly enough, most of the UFO files from the 1950's have been destroyed.

It's a real shame that so much information has been covered up, hidden or destroyed, but since UFO's have been around as long as mankind, doesn't that lend some credence to the fact that they might well exist?

The real problem with UFO reports is that with all the actual reports that can be proved to be aircraft or balloons, or just cloud formations, there is likely to be real evidence, if they do exist.

I agree that this could generate mass hysteria, but at our present time, I wonder how many people would actually be shocked if there was an announcement that they did in fact exist?

I admit that I would be shocked if that did happen, but only that the government had decided to "come clean" about them.

The worst thing would be if it was shown that the UFO activity was related to the Annunaki, who according to the Sumerians created mankind (see the works of Zecharia Sitchin), and that would mean that the "Gods" of Sumeria, Egypt, Greece, Rome etc, were in fact real beings, and included amongst them Jehovah/Yahweh, Lucifer etc. The effect on religions around the world if this did happen could cause mass hysteria I am sure.

These files are included in more than 5,000 pages of UFO reports, letters and drawings from members of the public, as well as questions that were raised by MPs in Parliament.

They are available for FREE download for a month from The National Archives.

I thought that life on other planets was statistically more than likely, but the immense distance makes you wonder, still 100 years ago air travel across our oceans was virtually impossible. I do believe that angels could exist, but exactly what I don't know, possibly members of the Annunaki.

There is intelligent life beyond that of earth. Has anyone ever thought they might be angels? Life from other planets has been shown to be a statistical impossibility. But don't let that stop us!!! Great article.

I find UFO sightings fascinating, not sure what they are. Big fan of X-files. Again really interesting photos Tony :)

I know UFOs exist, because I've seen them. Whether they are extraterrestrial or government issued (which might account for why they're a cover-up), I believe they exist. Aliens? Why not? As Candice mentions below, in this vast universe, we can't be the only intelligent life forms.

All gods were here at various times - only they are not really gods, merely bored aliens who said 'oooh stupid humans! Lets have a bit of fun with them...'

p.s. I'm sure I've met more than a couple aliens in my lifetime.....

UFO's are/were very common in Sedona AZ, at least it was that way when I lived there. It still shocks me that not everyone on this planet believes that we could not possibly be the only intelligent beings in the universe, I mean, c'mon! the universe is pretty BIG! We can't really think we're the only sentient life forms in the entire UNIVERSE? In any case, I agree with you Tony, I think people would be more shocked if there were any religious ramifications vs. just finding out they exist.
    "the truth IS out there!"
