"Natural Beauty" Book Review

An Interview with Laura Du Priest

Manda Spring
Many of you know Laura Du Priest as she is the host of "Natural Beauty: Salon Secrets at Home." Her book, entitled 'Natural Beauty', shares with its readers "salon secrets at a fraction of the cost"

Starting with knowing what natural beauty is and ending with salon secrets at home, it is a book that every woman must have.
"The different things a woman goes through can be life changing. When you start really seeing yourself for who you are that is when you are ready for a transformation."

Laura Du Priest is an advocate of aroma therapy, healthy looking skin, and stress relief through massage techniques. But when it comes to permanent make-up and Microderm abrasion she is actively against it. "The powder that is typically blown onto the face during the Microderm abrasion is really diamond and quartz dust. It is then rubbed into the skin to exfoliate. But when you go to have this done, you'll notice the people applying it wear masks so that they don't breathe it-while you are unprotected. That can produce respiratory problems when those sharp particles get stuck in your lungs. I put out my own line of cosmetics and offer this technique but in a cream so it is not harmful."

As you go through the book, you will learn the secrets of waxing, mastering your own hair, and applying make-up. There are recipes to making your own shampoos and conditioners along with a great recipe for wax.

Laura also promotes starting early with children and teaching them to be involved in their healthy skin as they grow. Children can learn the recipes in this book from bath fizzes, baby powder, baby milk bath, and baby massage oil. So, while they have a blast creating, it will also give them the self-responsibility to keep their own bodies healthy both inside and out.
So if you desire a good book that you can really learn from I recommend "Natural Beauty"
