Natural Blood Orange Sparkler, a Natural Hit

Non- Alcoholic Drink with a Sparkle

Marie Lowe
Well the verdict is in and Sonoma Sparkler, Natural Blood Orange flavor is a hit.

The drink is one of the many flavors offered at POPs in Arcadia, Oklahoma.

see story

The non-alcoholic drink is made up of 100 percent fruit juice including apple and blood orange.

An 8 oz bottle contains 135 calories according to the label and 30 grams of fat. It also contains 100 percent Vitamin C and contains 2 percent calcium.

Myself and four coworkers sampled the drink.

Once the cap is popped and the drink is poured into a glass, you can instantly hear fizz.

The taste then hits your mouth and your brain starts searching for what the name of the flavor on the tongue is.

After a brief search of tastes stored in memory, fruit punch comes to mind.

We all then agreed that it tastes like fruit punch and it least one coworker thinks adding Vodka could make the drink much more fun.

The label indicates that the product hails from Heraldsburg, California and that the company was established in 1999.

The Sonoma Web site describes the products as sparkling juices with champagne qualities.

I can agree with this statement.

The site indicates that other flavors are available including Organic Apple, Natural Pear, Natural Peach, Natural Raspberry and Organic Lemonade.

The site does not seem to list the Natural Blood Orange flavor but the POPS Web site lists the flavor as one they carry on a regular basis.

Judging by the recipes on the Sonoma Sparkler Web site, various alcoholic drinks can be mixed with the sparklers to make for fun time.

In the end if your looking for a tasty non-alcohol drink for the holidays the Natural Blood Orange could be the one.
