Vinegar

Mayonnaise

Mayonnaise isn't just for bologna sandwiches anymore. The next time spilled water leaves a water mark on your wood furniture, just apply some mayonnaises and let it sit for a couple hours. Then, wipe it away, let it dry, and the watermark will be gone.

Salt

Salt is a fundamental staple of American cuisine. It also just happens to be a great solution for handling grease spills in your oven. While it's still warm, sprinkle a tad of salt on the grease spill. It will weaken the grease and make it easier to scrub away once the oven cools.

Cornmeal

In case you have a few containers of cornmeal at home, then you are in luck. The next time you accidentally spill grease on your kitchen floor, cover it with a generous dose of cornmeal. After a few hours, just vacuum up the mess.
