Causes of Jock Itch
When the moist area of the body becomes too warm and starts sweating then due to fungus infection it causes jock itch. Symptom of jock itch is aggravated due to tight clothes and tight under garments. Usually people suffering from diabetes or AIDS are more prone to this problem because they have weak immune system. It is very contagious so any one can get easily infected if they come in contact with another person suffering from it. Avoid sharing personal things such as towel with the infected person. Jock itch may also be caused due to other fungal infection like athlete's foot.
Though there are various natural cures for jock itch. Some of them are very popular.
1. You must keep your moist and warm areas of the body clean and dry. Then you may apply powder or spray, any OTC antifungal cream on the infected area. Make a habit to change your undergarments daily. Anti dandruff shampoo can be used on the infected area. Tea tree oil is a natural antifungal so you can apply this oil on the infected area.
2. You may use silica to keep the damp body area dry. Always wear loose clothes.
3. Try to avoid eating sugar, refined carbohydrates and also the food which contains yeasts. You must avoid drinking alcohol as ultimately alcohol converts into sugar. Increase the intake of fresh fruit, raw fruits and vegetables. Processed, fried and greasy foods should be avoided. Your diet must contain simple and oil free food.
4. Make a habit to take garlic regularly. Garlic has antifungal qualities and jock itch is a fungal infection. Try to include garlic in a good quantity in your food as it is full of qualities. You can also apply honey and garlic alternatively on the infected area to get rid from jock itch.
