Natural Cures for PMS

There are so many wonderful things about being a woman. Unfortunately there is one drawback too. Premenstrual Syndrome, commonly referred to as PMS. Here are a few natural remedies to help ease that monthly uncomfortableness.

EVENING PRIMROSE OIL
This essential oil will help to soothe away depression, irritability, bloating and breast tenderness. Follow instructions on package.

BLACK COHOSH
This is a hormone regulating herb that will help with depression, anxiety, and mood swings. Just take 20 mg. twice daily.

CHASTEBERRY
This herb will boost your progesterone levels to help ease mood swings and headaches. Take 1,000 mg. once daily.

CHAMOMILE TEA
Enjoy a cup before bed to help promote sleep and ease anxiety. It will also help to relaxe uterine muscles to ward off cramps.

DAIRY PRODUCTS
Studies show that women who eat a diet rich in calcium and vitamin D have 40% less PMS symptoms. The reason being that it helps to regulate estrogen levels, resulting in less irritability and anxiousness.

NUTS
Instead of reaching for chocolate or sweets, have a handful of nuts. They will help to regulate hormones and help elevate your mood.

YOGA
A simple pose called "the child's pose" can help to lower stress and increase feelings of well-being. Simply kneel on the floor with your bottom on your heels. Bend forward with arms stretched out in front of you until your forehead touches the floor. Breathe deeply and relax for five minutes.

WALKING
Taking a brief walk will increase blood flow and reduce inflammation. It also releases "feel good" chemicals to help lift your mood.
