Meditations On Depression 0.1
What is the use of depression in human's life? And what is the use of it in the existence?. It may be a very primitive reaction of the organism towards the reality, to which organism is not ready to deal with. For example, a young child who has to face a painful trauma's at a young age and due to his tender age he cannot live that pain totally, and that causes accumulation of UN-lived emotions, and that can lead to depression at older age, ( I mean by Thirties) also we believe that we only live once and why to face or experience, so called unhappy or unpleasant experiences life brings? And we deny and deposit unwanted emotions in our unconscious and keep on moving forward like that brings depression and heaviness into our body.
Even these days still all these Mind and body expert teach us to manipulate the life and become "Reality Architect" and reduce the unhappy times in our life, forgetting life Follows "Law of Duality", to have the balance in this life we need to deal with both (happiness and sadness) we can delay life, deny life, but cannot get over life either by denying and delaying the life, there is off course a quick way to finish depression and be happy again as we were in our childhood, which we even cannot remember now, how it was, if we are living in the Depression.
My understanding says that Depression is caused by our inability to live totally, caused by may be because of our conditioning brought in by our our culture, age, sex, education. Now, if somehow we can learn to live Depression totally (I mean live it, experience the way it is, by not fighting with it we can make Depression go at faster pace than ever and be thankful to Depression, it was there, Remember, life uses opposite as a teacher), For example, if we have Depression because of losing someone and we have not grieved on it and "moved on" with our life, "moved on" life turns into Depression, without us, even knowing about it. If you think, why you are surrounded by depression and still it has not gone, it may be time to dig deeper in to yourself.
I am putting this Meditationtech Technique to come out of Depression, I would not use the word "treatment", because I do not see it is as a Disease (Depression may cause diseases, it is not a disease. Just another dimension of life), When you get out of Depression or starting to get out of Depression, it would just feel like like you were asleep, and you are waking up.
Time -(How fast you can come out of Depression-depends on eagerness, discomfort, that depression has brought into life.
Be creative, before, starting this Meditation, please get comfortable, have shower, drink some Wine, have some tea, create ambiance with Incense, candles.
Now, choose the most comfort posture of your choice, you do not have to sit like Buddha. Just be yourself, and relax, lie down on your couch, start by focusing on your breathing, just observe that, if you are breathing or not, no need to change the rhythm of your breathing with any "yoga Breathing" "observe that you are breathing from both of the nostrils". Take your own time, you are not following any tape that you have to follow the therapist speed. While, still focusing on your breath, move slight focus on your chest at the same time, feel your chest going up and down, now feel your belly being going up and down now breath from whole front torsol and relax.
Recognize- Now feel your Depression totally, this could be little painful do your best relax in the discomfort, whenever, discomfort increases, bring focus back on breathing until it goes away again, repeat the sequence or process as long as you want to stay in Meditation. You can even afall asleep while doing this.
Let Go -Let Go happens automatically, if you find yourself giving reasoning for having depression, beware you are suppressing. Keep this in mind.
Have fun with it..... and remember Buddha's Quote- "When Shoe fits you do not feel the Feet"
