Natural Herbs for Healing Colds

With cold season in the air, it's a good to stay on top of your health. There are several common herbs for healing colds. The following are common herbs used for healing colds: cayenne comfrey, fenugreek, garlic, golden seal, and rose hips.

Cayenne

The first herb used for healing colds in cayenne. Cayenne can b e used to heal many illnesses. For congestion and colds, use ginger with cayenne and it cleans out the bronchial tubes. When cayenne is used with garlic helps lower blood pressure. Cayenne extract can be used for headaches, rheumatism, and muscle aches.

Comfrey (Root)

The next herb for colds is comfrey. Comfrey is high in potassium, vitamin A, and calcium. It aids in eliminating blood in urine. This herb is used for many healing other ailments such as anemia, arthritis, digestive disorder, fractures, wounds, and more.

Fenugreek (Seeds)

Fenugreek is another herbal remedy for colds. It helps expel mucous from sinuses and prevents migraine headaches.

Garlic (Bulb)

The forth natural remedy for a cold is garlic. Garlic a great herb used to heal many ailments. The antibiotic action of garlic is similar to penicillin and just as effective if taken in large enough doses, it kills only the harmful bacteria. For chronic bronchitis you can use either garlic or onion poultices on the chest.

Golden Seal (Root)

Golden Seal is the next natural herb for colds. Its antibiotic action is similar to Tetracycline and Streptomycin/

Rose Hips

The last herb that can be used for colds is Rose Hips. Rose Hips are an excellent source of natural vitamin C. It is used for infection and cleansing toxins from the body.

If not sure, it is recommended to consult your doctor for advice when including herbal substances into your daily regiment for combating a cold. Using natural herbs can be beneficial in improving your health.
