Natural Homemade Facial Prducts is the Way to Go

I make my own facial mask at home. You know exactly what your introducing to your skin and if you do a little home work you might even turn out with something better than you could by on the shelf. Depending on your skin type, different household ingredients will help you in different ways. Most everything you need to create your own personally tailored beauty products, is in your kitchen or bathroom.

Egg whites- These are great for tightening your skin and shrinking your pores.

Egg Yolks- The sulfur in egg yolks helps to clear up the splotches on your skin not acne but just impurities and such.

Baby oatmeal- This is perfect for sensitive dry skin especially when combined with avocado which is rich in vitamin E.

Baking soda, cornmeal, and sugar-What these three have in common is that they are excellent exfoliants. I prefer cornmeal because baking soda dries out my skin.

Honey- This sticky sweet substance is actually antiseptic lends a certain softness to your skin.

Mayonnaise- Is protein rich and helps to lend structure and body to skin of you face to erase that dry lifeless look.

Cucumbers- Great for your eyes and when grated and combined with plain yogurt you'll be looking as cool a cucumber for sure.

Try this simple facial regime and substitute your own natural products.

The first order of business is to gently cleanse your face with a mild soap like baby soap or a mild scrub. I use a mixture of cornmeal, baby wash and a small amount of mint mouth wash. The additional of mouth wash serves as an antiseptic. When I'm finished rinsing with cool water my face is clean and cool.

Then I lubricate with a small amount of pure Vaseline. This I do everyday. Every two-three days I mask with my favorite recipe below. This mask goes on wet and drippy but after about 10 minutes it dries on clear. It can smell kind of raw because of the egg, but once you rinse it off it leaves your face new looking because of the revealing of new skin cells.

My all time favorite mask is a mixture of 4oz buttermilk, 1 egg yolk and a 1tbsp each of honey and mayonnaise. Mix but be careful not to shake and apply with a cotton ball to your face avoiding the eyes. Leave on for 30 minutes and rinse of with cool water. When ever I do this my skin tone evens out more and with time will become absolutely flawless. This recipe is from beauty expert Deborah Chase.

Here's a recipe Chase suggests for your own natural skin care toner.

Ingredients

1 teaspoon of rosemary, dried

1 teaspoon thyme, dried

1 bay leaf

1 cup white wine

Gently boil herbs with white wine for 10 minutes. Allow herbs to cool in white wine for one hour. Drain off herbs and discard. Keep the liquid and transfer the strained toner to a clean glass jar. Store in refrigerator for one week.

To use this natural skin care toner, dip a cotton ball in toner and dab on freshly washed skin before bed and in the morning. "It's refreshing, and it has anti-inflammatory properties. The alphahydroxy oils in wine encourage good healthy cell growth," Chase says. "Use it for any skin type except those parts of the skin that are dry and irritated."

I have yet to try this recipe but I believe it works. Take charge of your facial health and go natural for a while, I'm sure you'll agree it a more profitable course.

Good article, not entirely up my alley, but very informative. Thanks for sharing this.

I love facials. They make my skin so much softer, plus it is a great way to pamper myself, cheaply.
