For those of us who wear makeup on a daily basis, taking off makeup can be tricky at times. Making sure to not get any in your eyes to prevent stinging, and finding the right kind of solution that won't be irritating to your skin can be an additional trial. Most mass-marketed brands out there tend to irritate both your eyes and skin, making makeup removal a painful chore. Instead of forking up money to buy "natural" formulas, why not create your own from safe ingredients available in your own home? Here is a simple guide to get you going.

Baby Oil and Organic Almond Oil are solutions that work best as eye makeup removers. They are both gentle and effective. However, they are not ideal for removing makeup from your entire face. Start with a little and gently go around the eyes with a lightly saturated cotton ball or Q-tip. Add more solution if necessary, but do not overdo it.

Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a formula tends to be greasier in comparison to baby oil and organic almond oil It is still as gentle, but like the other two oils, it is not ideal for removing makeup from other areas of your face. However, if the other two oils are not present in your house, this is a great alternative.

Combining these two ingredients of Aloe Vera Gel and Jojoba Oil provides an effecting and yet gentle makeup. Mix two times worth of Aloe Vera gel to jojoba oil.

Almond Milk is a fantastic makeup remover for the entire face. Apply it to a cotton ball. Go over your face in circular motions until all of the makeup is off. Again, this may take a couple of tries if there is a lot of makeup on the skin.

Cucumbers are great for scrubbing makeup off and exfoliating your facial skin. Peel the skin off a cucumber and cut it into tiny pieces. Add a small amount of water and rub the pieces over your face. This will scrub the existing makeup off of your face and provide a refreshing feeling for your skin.

Rice Milk when combined with green tea also works great as a face makeup remover and in the meantime in the process of removal; the green tea's antioxidant properties can benefit your skin. Combine a even half of brewed green tea with rice milk tea and when it becomes room temperature, slather the mixture on your face and let it sit for a few minutes prior to rinsing.
