Natural Looking Lip Gloss: Shiseido's the Makeup Lip Gloss

I'm not a big fan of lip gloss. I have a lot of color on my lips and I strangely like my lip color, but don't like the strange glossy shine that a lip gloss gives. It makes my lips so unnatural. For a person that wants to look natural and not made up, I just stay far away from them. So, I use mostly just the lip balms, or maybe sometimes a tinted lip balm for some more color. But, I just cannot help losing them over and over again. I didn't have any time to go and buy one, but I had a lip gloss in my drawer. I thought, since this was winter, I'll just wear this one time so I won't get chapped lips. But, I was hooked after just one use. I love it! The one that I used was Shiseido The Makeup lip gloss. It does have shine that I already said don't like, but the color looks so natural, it just enhances my natural lips and thick texture just stays on for the longest time.

I used the color G4, petal pink. It's a soft pink color but it's very sheer so all it did for me was add a bit of shine and make my lips more noticeable. It made my lips stand out big time without adding so much shine that I can't stand. So, this lip gloss isn't for heavy makeup for special occasions, but great for everyday casual wear and does a great job at that.

This lip gloss doesn't have much of a smell, but some that is there is definitely not excessive. Some lip glosses just have a plastic smell that if it gets on your mouth, you feel it for a while, but I felt nothing like that with this lip gloss. It has a very light, barely noticeable smell, and I never felt a thing except when I tried.

The texture is same as all the other lip glosses, in my opinion. It has that thick texture, but it's not that thick so it'll be hard to apply. But, it's thick enough so it want run, so I love it.

So, this lip gloss acts more like a lip balm, except that it has more shine and color to it. Mostly because I found that this does a great job conditioning your lips in addition to the color and shine. If you're like me and don't like too much shine and color, Shiseido's lip gloss will be perfect for you.
