Normally when I see the trees they are alone, still, and sad. Maybe I'll see one or two in a yard, but every acre is cleared out, and those trees are small; they don't live very long, and prone to incidents.
But the trees out here have far different egos. They're enchanting. The grand feeling of these trees leaves me feeling humble. These trees blow all over, and interact with the winds.
They feel strong and grow big here in this forest because they have and support each other. They love each other and I can hear them speaking. They hope to be together for at least another 500 years, but their friend, Red Oak, has passed away at the hands of the intrusive homo sapiens.
They're always loving each other.
