Natural Makeup Trends for 2010

Joyce Hewitt
This year the hottest trend in makeup is to keep it natural. Its time to throw away your old cosmetics and start a fresh look in 2010. Keeping your complexion clean and exfoliated is important if you want to keep your makeup looking soft and subtle. Less is trending on the up side when it comes to makeup application. Follow these simple steps when applying your makeup to get a natural look:

Prep work

To keep clear skin naturally, wash your face with honey. Honey has natural antibacterial properties and natural exfoliants. Keeping your skin soft will help your foundation and powder look flawless, not cake y. Don't be afraid to throw out your old makeup, and get a clean start. Think organic if you are out purchasing new makeup, and keep an eye out for harmful ingredients

Next apply a natural mineral foundation. A versatile one to try is Monave Claire Loose Mineral Foundation. It is available in a variety of shades that will blend in with your complexion. For your cheeks you want to keep it simple. Blend a shade or two darker then your skin color for an instant color boost that will enhance your cheek bones.

For your eyes you want to pick out an eye shadow that is closest to your skin color. Light pinks, peaches, and coppers will give you gorgeous soft glow. You should aim for colors that blend into your skin easily. Honeybee Gardens, Truly Natural Mascara is a paraben- free mascara that will keep your lashes long, and your eyes healthy. Apply one layer of mascara to your lashes for a simple clean look that will make your eyes pop.

Your lip color should be matte, or a sheer gloss. For matte colors choose a nude color, or light pink. Yes to carrots has a Pink Power Kit for lips that will keep your lips nourished. You won't feel bad when you slather on their all organic lip care.

That's all it takes to create your new face for 2010. Keeping your makeup simple and natural, and maintaining a clear complexion will bring out a new youthful you.
