The skin is your first line of defense. It protects you against environmental damages and infections. It regulates your temperature, alerts you to pain and the feelings of touch. It's the exposed part of your body that others see. It immediately reveals its beauty or its flaws. Your beautiful glowing skin is a sign of good health, it enhances your beauty. Natural nutrients promote beautiful healthy skin.

VitaminC
Vitamin C is an essential vitamin for the growth and repair of cell tissues. It helps the body produce collagen, a protein for skin production, wound healing and the repair and maintenance of other body tissues. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant. It fights the effects of free radicals, damages from the sun, cigarette smoke and other environmental pollutants that cause premature aging of the skin. Vitamin C is water soluble. It is not stored in the body. Any extra vitamin C is excreted out in the urine. Citrus fruits and juices such as oranges, grapefruits, limes and lemons are rich sources of vitamin C, as well as strawberries, blackberries, cantaloupes, tomatoes and sweet potatoes. Vitamin C supplements are available in tablet, capsule, powder and liquid forms. All supplements should be taken with the advice and supervision of your doctor.

Vitamin B3- Niacin
Vitamin B3 or niacin is one of the B complex vitamins found in eggs, milk, cheese and other dairy products. Lean meats, poultry and fish as well as enriched cereals and breads are also rich sources of vitamin B3. Vitamin B3 deficiency is rare. In the United States the major cause of a vitamin B3 deficiency is alcoholism. Vitamin B 3 is commonly found in skin care products as a moisturizer and an anti-aging agent. According to MayClinic.com website, more studies need to be done regarding the benefits of vitamin B3 in skin care products. Symptoms of a mild vitamin B3 deficiency include fatigue and canker sores. A serious deficiency includes symptoms of cracked scaly skin, burning in the mouth and a bright red tongue.

Roman Chamomile
The flower heads of Roman chamomile plants are used for medicinal purposes, one of which is skin care. It's used to treat skin irritation and inflammation, cracked nipples, burns and eczema, frost bites and diaper rash. Roman chamomile is a popular ingredient used in cosmetic industry and in soaps. Roman chamomile leaves are used as an herbal tea for its soothing and relaxing effects.

Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera is a succulent cactus-like plant. It's been used for thousands of years for its medicinal properties. Aloe Vera gel is the thick clear substance from the Aloe Vera leaf. It's a common skin care product used in the cosmetic industry. It heals, soothes and repairs skin damages and it's an anti-inflammatory that benefits dry skin and promotes youthful glowing skin.
