Natural Remedies for Annoying Hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids are yucky and literally a pain in the butt to have; they are also called piles. They present themselves in the veins of your behind and become as swollen as they want to be. I tell you what; hemorrhoids have a mind of their own! Three quarters of Americans will suffer from hemorrhoids at some point in their lives. However, I am going to show you how to control this little problem.

So here are some ideas to help you get rid of hemorrhoids in a natural way. The first and most basic is the famous fiber. Many of us don't get nearly as fiber as we should. Fiber has always been shown to help soften stools and relieve the swelling and the bleeding that comes from hemorrhoids. If you are not into the whole fruits and vegetable thing then buy some psyllium mix one teaspoon of it in water and drink it down. You can also ground flaxseed in your water or in your cereal.

Bioflavonoids are the next thing you can try if fiber alone is not working out for you. Bioflavnoids is from a plant compound that helps to strengthen the blood vessels walls so that it makes it a lot harder for hemorrhoids to develop and it works to relieve any inflammation you might have right now. They do also help to relief any discomfort associated with hemorrhoids. This is a great option for those of you who are pregnant; doctors recommend this most to you.

If you are looking for a topical alternative then I would suggest a Witch Hazel Cream that you can find in any drugstore. Witch Hazel has been proven to decrease the bleeding caused by hemorrhoids. Also, there are medicated Witch hazel pads if you are not with putting cream down there! What I like most about this option is that it is not expensive and it works.
My last recommendation is Horse Chestnut; the scientific name is Aesculu Hippocastanum. How they come up with these names I will never know. Anyway, doctors tend to recommend this option when you are having poor circulation in your veins. This herb is said to help relieve inflammation and build up the blood vessel walls.

You have to be careful with this herb though, you really want to check in with your doctor before you take this herb. Some people are allergic to this herb and it causes them major problems. Also, if you are taking blood thinners or have any kind of bleeding disorder you don't want to take this herb. I am telling you upfront if this is you, don't even bother asking the doctors just don't take it. You can take Horse Chestnut in pill form or tea form.
