Natural Remedies for Common Illnesses and Diseases

Do you not like taking medication yet you have a medical condition that requires it. Here are a few home remedies to try. I know these work on me.

For diabetes try honey and ground cinnamon. Mix one tablespoon of honey to one teaspoon of cinnamon. If the taste is too strong for you to just swallow it try swallowing it with hot coffee or tea.

For high blood pressure, use honey and vinegar. Ugh, I know. It sounds awful and does not taste all that great. Mix two tablespoons of vinegar, three tablespoons of honey, and one half cup of water and drink (as fast as you can). Horrible taste but excellent results.

For neuropathy from diabetes try just plain old vinegar. Mix one fourth of a cup of vinegar to two cups of water. Again, drink it as fast as you can.

If you suffer from muscle aches and cramps good old bananas just might be the trick to warding off some of the pain. This is not hard to do at all. Simply eat two to three bananas a day (bananas contain a high amount of potassium which is said to keep muscle pain at bay).

Now this one you may think I am completely nuts, but I have tried it and it works very well for my husband and me. For joint pain try a lemon. Use lemons or the juice in what ever you can use it in. Put it in tea, sodas, over vegetables et cetera. One of the best things in the world is to drizzle whole green beans with olive oil and baking them slowly for about thirty to forty five minutes. Drizzle with the juice of two fresh cut lemons. Yummy and medicinal!

For dry skin, a little olive oil goes a long way. Instead of buying salad dressing make your own using extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar and the slightest little bit of sea salt. Use olive oil in place of other cooking oil when ever possible. You can actually also use plain old olive oil (not virgin or extra virgin) on your hair. Put it on and leave it for about five minutes and then shampoo.

On to the dreaded horrible allergies...pineapple is the medicine here. Eating about three to four servings (about one cup) per day can actually relieve allergy and sinus symptoms.

If you suffer from stress headaches simply drinking good old water is a tremendous help. This can also ward off migraines also. It is recommended drinking 6 to 8 glasses (8 ounces each) of water per day. However, if you have a tendency to have headaches, drinking around 10 glasses a day may be your answer.

In conclusion, I am not saying these things will work on everybody. And it may not even be feasible for everyone to use these remedies. However, if you do not like taking medicine and want to try something a little different here are a few suggestions.
