About 157 million Americans suffer from Migraines on a daily basis. Migraines are caused because of rapid widening and narrowing of blood vessels in the scalp, neck, and brain. When this happens pain fibers within the blood vessels are irritated, thus causing a Migraine. There are two major types of Migraines: Classical and Common. A Classical Migraine headache follows a series of symptoms known as Aura, whereas a Common Migraine headache does not have Aura symptoms. Aura usually includes flickering lights, loss of vision, inability to speak, vertigo, facial numbness, and other disturbing symptoms. Other symptoms that incur during a Migraine headache may include but certainly are not limited too: increased sensitivity to noise or light, throbbing or pulsating pain, nausea, dizziness, vomiting, and visual problems.

So what do you do when your over the counter prescriptions and pharmaceutical drugs do not work? After hours of trying to "lay down" to make the pain go away. Why not try homeopathic medicine; a natural cure may be the solution to your problem.

Here are a few immediate natural home remedies that may help you (make sure to either make these items in advance or have someone make them for you, no sense in hurting yourself or someone else in the process): the crust (also known as the zest) of a lemon, grapes, and Niacin have been known to cure a migraine headache.

Firstly, the crust (zest) of a lemon; using a mortar and pestle grind into a fine paste and apply to forehead for immediate relief. Another home remedy, from the produce department, grinding ripe grapes in a mortar and pestle and drink without adding any water (make sure these are seedless grapes, so as to not choke on seeds). The last immediate form of relief would be to intake some form of Niacin. There are Vitamin I complex pills of 100mg each that include Niacin in them, this nutrient can also be found in sunflower seeds, nuts, green leafy vegetables, and tomatoes.

Another natural home remedy that suggests drinking a feverfew tea daily for two weeks, this may or may not help immediately. Taking 15 or 16 feverfew leaves grind them into a fine powder with a mortar and pestle. Next use only one teaspoon of the power and boil with one cup of water, again drinking daily for two weeks.

As a fan of homeopathic and natural medicine, I have every confidence that they will work for you, best wishes on curing your migraine headache!
