Creating a homemade natural steamer for your face is just one step in getting your facial skin glowing. First boil a pot of water and place a spoonful of your preferred herbs in the water. For oily skin types, it is recommended to go with the herbs peppermint or thyme. For sensitive or dry skin types it is recommended to go with the herb chamomile. For normal skin types, the herbs rosemary or lavender are recommended. After the water is boiled and the herbs are steeped, remove the pot of water from the stove. Make sure your face has been thoroughly washed and is free from any dirt and/or makeup residues. Cover your head with a towel and place your head within a safe and comfortable distance from the top of the pot of water and hold that position for about 15 minutes.
Another step in making your facial skin glow is to remove any dead skin cells. Dead skin cells can potentially clog up your pores resulting in blemishes and acne, but also makes your skin tone dull looking. You can obtain a natural loofah or other natural exfoliating products such as apricot shells and/or sand. Use any of these natural exfoliating tools to massage your entire facial skin for a couple of minutes. Finish by rinsing your whole face with lukewarm water.
Another step in making your face glow naturally is to create your own natural facial skin mask/paste. You will need the following natural ingredients: honey, flour, lemon juice, and warm water. Honey has natural antifungal properties which assist in fighting acne and at the same time moisturizes your skin. Lemon helps fight blackheads and also removes leftover dead skin cells. Begin by mixing the honey with a sufficient amount of flour to form a paste and then add a bit of lemon juice to finish a perfect facial skin mask. Apply the mask on to your entire face and leave the formula on for about 15 minutes. Rinse the paste off thoroughly with warm water.
A final step in getting your skin healthy looking and glowing is with natural moisturizers. Moisturizing is key, even for oily prone skin just because excessive dry/aggravated skin causes your skin to produce more oil resulting in breakouts. Proper, balance moisturizing will prevent that from happening. Olive oil is the best natural moisturizers and is even good for oily/combination skin types because it actually helps ward off acne. Apply a small amount in your hand and massage the oil evenly over you face.
