Thankfully there are natural things you can do to sleep better, and reap the benefits of good health.

Create a Tranquil Environment

What does your bedroom look like? Is it full of clutter or well organized? The first place you need to start is in your bedroom because this is where you spend your time sleeping. Your bedroom needs to be a comfortable clutter free tranquil environment where you can rest. Keep your room neat and organized and get rid of any junk that you have lying around in your room. When a room is clutter free you will worry less, and this will help you to sleep better. Paint the walls neutral relaxing light colors like beige, or very light blue. Put up art work that is peaceful tranquil and calming to look at. Many people like to have pictures of the ocean or beautiful landscapes in their room because these pictures help them to relax and un wind. Make sure that your bed is comfortable; use cozy pillows and the best sheets you can afford.

Be sure to always avoid any type of caffeine products at least 3 hours before bed.

Chamomile Tea

Chamomile tea has properties in it that will help you to relax. For the strongest effect be sure to use at least 3 tea bags, and allow them to steep for at least 5 minutes.

Valerian Root

Valerian Root is an herb that also helps to promote relaxation, and it should only be used on people 12 and older. This herb can also be used as a mild tranquilizer so be sure to only use it before bed and never take it before driving.

Eating a banana before bed can also help you sleep because bananas contain serotonin and melatonin.
