Natural Remedies to Treat Genital Warts

What are genital warts?

Genital warts is caused by of the human papillomavirus (HPV). There are different types of HPV but strains 6 and 11 are related to producing genital warts. The virus is sexually transmitted and is highly contagious with an incubation period of 1 to 3 months.

Genital warts can be describes as single or multiple "bumps" of a reddish color that may be present on the vulva, vagina, urethra, perineum, anus, anal canal, tip of the penis, shaft of the penis, and scrotum.

Natural remedies for genital warts

There are 2 types of Natural remedies to treat genital warts: Internal and external treatment. Internal i involve suing nutrition to support your immune system and boosting it. External treatment involves treating the actual genital warts.

Internal treatments

Foods high in antioxidants especially vitamins C (peppers, broccoli, strawberries, oranges, lemons) and E (sunflower seeds, greens in general, spinach, almonds). Also, food rich in folic acid (nuts, whole grains, bananas) and beta carotene (carrots , sweet potatoes, winter squash) are recommended

External Treatments (only external warts, NOT INTERNAL ONES)

Use the oil of a vitamin E capsule and rub it on the wart (once a day) . Do the same with inside part of pineapple skin (once a day) . Also with a cotton ball, soak in cider vinager and rub it twice a day and once a day rub tea tree oil

These are natural remedies for genital warts to be done at home. They may be effective for single lesions. Do not treat internal warts.
