Natural Skin Care Routine for Normal Skin

W.S.
Normal skin is defined as neither too dry nor too oily. Even texture, color and pore size are also indications of normal skin. Normal skin can withstand less attention than dry or oily skin types but that doesn't mean it should be neglected. Wider choices of ingredients for natural skin care are available to people with normal skin. Follow this natural skin care routine to keep your normal skin healthy and glowing.

Natural Skin Care Routine for Normal Skin - Cleansing

The first step in the natural skin care routine for normal skin is cleansing. Cleansing should be performed twice per day with a ph balanced natural cleanser. You can also use a homemade natural cleanser made with essential oils for normal skin such as lavender, rose and Neroli.

Clean your normal skin for two minutes using the recommended cleaner before rinsing thoroughly. This is best done in the morning upon waking and in the evening before retiring. Blot dry and you're done with step one of the natural skin care routine for normal skin!

Natural Skin Care Routine for Normal Skin - Toning

The second step in the natural skin care routine for normal skin is toning. Toning should be performed twice per day, immediately following cleansing. For normal skin, Aloe Vera juice or lavender water is the best possible toner you could use.

Apply the recommended toner to your normal skin and allow the skin to absorb. Follow with a moisturizer (see next step) for normal skin.

Natural Skin Care Routine for Normal Skin - Moisturizing

The third step in the natural skin care routine for normal skin is moisturizing. Moisturize your normal skin twice per day, immediately following the toner. Light lotions and moisturizing creams work best. You can use homemade moisturizing lotions made with essential oils suitable for normal skin such as lavender, rose and Neroli.

Apply the recommended moisturizer to clean, dry skin and allow the skin to absorb the moisturizer. Do not over-moisturizer but apply enough for your skin to absorb and use.

Natural Skin Care Routine for Normal Skin - Steaming

The fourth step in the natural skin care routine for normal skin is steaming. You only need to steam once or twice per week if you have normal skin. Use herbs that are suited for normal skin such as calendula, lavender and comfrey. You may also add essential oils to the steam such as lavender, rose or Neroli.

Boil a pan of water and add the herbs and/or essential oil. If using herbs, add about a tablespoon of each herb you wish to use. If using essential oil, add about five drops of each essential oil you wish to use. Put a towel over your head and the pan to contain the steam.

Natural Skin Care Routine for Normal Skin - Exfoliating

The final step in the natural skin care routine for normal skin is exfoliating. A gentle oatmeal scrub used once per week is sufficient for normal skin. You can purchase a natural oatmeal scrub or make one of your own.

Apply the oatmeal scrub to clean, dry skin and gently rub for a few minutes. Then, rinse clean and marvel at your beautiful, normal skin.
