Natural Sugar Face and Body Exfoliator

Philippa Lane
Does your skin appear dull and in need of a glow?

Do you want to have a clear, smooth, and radiant complexion?

Try a sugar scrub!

Sugar makes a great exfoliator for the skin. Whether used on the face or body, sugar can help shed unwanted dead skin cells.

Use a good quality oil, such as Jojoba oil or Olive oil, and mix in a little sugar and scrub those dead skin cells right off your body for a beautiful glow from head to toe. You can also add a drop of Rosemary essential oil into the mixture for toning benefits.

Sugar is an emollient and mild emulsifier which helps to soothe and soften skin. Sugar is often used to combat scaling, dryness, and the grains easily dissolve into the skin and at the same time provide excellent exfoliation.

To make a sugar scrub, you will need:

· One box of raw sugar (white or brown)

· One bottle of your choice of oil

· One small jar with a lid

· Optional: Rosemary essential oil

· One spoon

Rosemary is a woody, perennial herb with fragrant evergreen needle-like leaves and is high in calcium, iron, and Vitamin B6. Rosemary has a wonderful invigorating fragrance. I really love using essential oil of Rosemary on my skin and adding it to the sugar scrub yields even better results.

After you have mixed all of the ingredients together and have placed the mixture into a jar, you are now ready to exfoliate. I prefer to use this mixture in the shower, but you can also use it while taking a bath or just washing your face with water in a sink. The sugar scrub will leave your whole body smooth and glowing.

You can use the sugar scrub every day if you want to, but be very careful not to get any of it near or in your eyes. After using your scrub remember to close the lid. You can store the sugar scrub in regular room temperature or in the Summer time it is great to store the jar in a refrigerator.

Exfoliating your skin on a regular basis with a sugar scrub really helps to promote fresh, soft, and glowing skin. Give it a try; your skin will love it!

You can purchase sugar, oil, and essential oil of Rosemary at most Health Food Stores or online at www.ebay.com.
