Many women notice a difference during intercourse after having children or due to age. This difference comes from the loosening of the vaginal muscles. The pelvic muscles relax over time as we age and are stretched during child birth. Pelvic muscles that have been relaxed tend to lead women to reduced rates of satisfaction which can affect their libido.

To tighten the vaginal muscles and pelvic muscles there are quick fixes that are only temporary and long term fixes that will take some time.

Kegel exercises are commonly known by many women as the method to tighten up the pelvic muscles. To properly due kegal exercises you will need to find the right muscles. You can do this by inserting a finger inside the vagina and squeeze the muscles surrounding. By doing this you should feel the vaginal muscles tighten and the floor of the pelvic lift upward. Once you relax the muscles the floor of the pelvic should return and everything should relax.

You may here to start and stop the flow of urine to tighten the muscles. While trying to figure out which muscles to tighten this is a good method to use. But it's not a method to keep on using. When you start and stop urine flow you're actually doing kegel exercises. When you do kegel exercises while urinating you're weakening the muscles if the bladder is full or empty. This could lead to a disorder of incomplete emptying of the bladder. Incomplete emptying of the bladder can increase your risk of urinary tract infections (UTI's).

Vaginal cones and weights are devices used in conjunction with kegel exercises. Vagina cones and weights help speed up the process of kegel exercises giving you faster results. They are also beneficial to help prevent incontinence.

Myth or not, some people swear by the use of lime juice as a natural way to tighten the vagina. Some African's believe that lime juice not only keeps the vagina tight it also aids in keeping the vagina clean and smelling good.

Various sources on the net also include pickling spices, alum powder, and vinegar as ways to naturally tighten the vagina. Due to the lack of information found they are just mentioned and not meant to be tried unless you have done your own research on the matter.
