Natural Ways to Fight Fatigue and Exhaustion

What to Do when You Are Tired All the Time

Joanna Ammons
With the current state of the economy, the average person is worn down by financial stress combined with the demands of work and family. Fatigue has become very common. You feel like you haven't slept well. You are ready to take a nap early into your work day. I watched a nationally well known doctor drink "Diet Coke" throughout his 14 hour work day for energy. He admitted it was wrong, as he pulled his liter bottle out from the refrigerator near his desk.

Fatigued individuals try to battle feeling weary by drinking coffee, energy drinks, energy shot jolts, and candy. Use of caffeine and/or sugar is only a momentary fix and doesn't really solve the problem. The problem starts at night time. You are not getting enough deep REM sleep. One of my favorite products for people on the go who do not have enough time for sleep is "Sleep Now" by Herbalife. With one capsule, you can enter into a deep REM sleep within 30 minutes of taking it. If you even sleep for just 4 hours, you wake up feeling refreshed as if you slept an entire night. I personally use this product and recommend it to clients who go through their day moody and cranky due to not sleeping well at night.

I highly recommend swapping your coffee or caffeinated beverages for Green Tea. Green Tea offers the energy boost with antioxidants. If you must have coffee, I recommend having ½ caffeinated and ½ decaffeinated to cut the caffeine intake. Having too much caffeine is not good for you and can send you crashing when the caffeine wears off. You do not want to be on the crash cycle, you will be feeding your fatigue instead of fending it off. Less caffeine gives you better control of not creating more exhaustion later in your day.

Sublingual Vitamin B12 offers a way of creating natural energy and buffering stress on the nervous system. This can be taken in liquid form or a melt able tab under the tongue. Taking a form that quickly absorbs under the tongue is a great way to feel the energy boost within minutes.

Aromatherapy offers a quick pick me up to turn on the senses. Jasmine is an age old remedy for fatigue. Lemon oil and peppermint oils also help you feel more awake. I recommend using the natural oils in lotion, keeping them handy on you to smell on the go, or at your desk. You can create a nice scent in your environment by using a water or candle diffuser. When you find an aroma that you like, it can help you focus better and perk up during the day.
