Regina Sunderland
If you are like millions of women all over the globe, you too suffer from extreme discomforts during and before those dreaded days of the month when our Bodies have their monthly clean out phase. Yes, I am talking about the lovely menstrual cycle that sends anyone around us screaming into seclusion.
Between extreme mood swings, cramps from hell, backaches, headaches and more we are not only sorely tried, but also at the edge of physical mayhem. One thing is a fact, you want the discomfort to stop; the question is how? Are you comfortable popping one Midol or equivalent after the other or are you looking for natural alternatives. If the later is the case you have come to the right Article. Following are a few tried and tested natural pain elevators that have helped me and many other women.

Have a Cup of Chamomile-Honey Tea.
Chamomile and Honey is Natures way of calming the nerves and soothing the mind. It is used as a natural inflammatory, antispasmodic, mildly sedative and helps with gas related issues. (No sorry not the one at the Gas pump). If further helps with arthritis and several other joint problems.

Omega 3 Fatty Acids.
Have a piece of Salmon or other Fish. If you don't like the taste of fish you can take regular capsules that over Omega 3 Fatty Acids. This should be part of your healthy diet.
If eating Salmon, please make sure that you don't eat this more then 2 Times a week.

Magnesium
Women are woefully short on Magnesium. This Mineral helps us relax, sleep and believe it or not digest. It is further responsible for regulation of blood sugar, heart rhythm, nerves and more. Did you know that we need Magnesium for more the 300 Biochemical Reactions?

Exercise!
If you exercise regularly at least 20 minutes for 5 times a day and that includes going for walks, stretching, dancing etc. It helps your body to deal with the stresses of everyday happenings, keeps you in shape and believe it or not helps you with cramps.

Hot Compresses!
Put hot compresses against your Stomach or Back. The warmth will help the thinning of the blood and relax the muscles. It also soothes the Nerves.

Take a nice hot/warm Bath and relax!

Again the warmth of the Water will help to relax the muscles which are punched up. The more relaxed you can get your body, the better of you are.

Eat Pasta!
Eat a little bit of comfort food and for some reason Pasta seems to do the trick. I usually make my daughter a mixture of noodles, cream of mushroom soup and broccoli. It seems to help her well. I heard Chicken Noodle soup is good too.

For those in loving relationships only - that means adults!
Have some fun with your Spouse. Oh, quit looking at me like that. Believe it or not having sexual relationships not only lifts your mood, but also stops the cramps.

Get a massage!
Having a massage will help the water retention and relax the muscles. Have a certified massage therapist give you a massage or go to a Reflexology Specialist. Be honest, they won't be embarrassed and then they know what to help you with.

A combination of Vitamin E and Calcium.
Again something we should take anyway. Calcium is not only responsible for strong teeth, nails and bones it also helps you with your mood swings. Vitamin E is a good blood sugar regulator and more.

I hope this information will help you, make sure to give it a try.
