Fennel is an herb that suppresses your appetite. If you can find a way to get more of the herb fennel in your diet it can help curb your appetite so you eat less. One way to add more fennel to your diet is to drink fennel tea. You can buy fennel in a health food store or in the herb area in a grocery store. To make fennel tea just add a teaspoon of fennel to hot water and let it steep for ten minutes. Then strain the fennel and drink the tea.
You can also try to drink an infusion of sage or thyme. Sage and thyme are thought to help suppress your appetite and if you can add more of it to your diet it can help you to cut back on food.
Bulgur wheat is full of protein, niacin and iron. Bulgur wheat is low in sodium and fat yet it is a great source of fiber. If you get proper nutrition when you diet you won't feel as hungry as if you don't get the proper nutrition in your diet.
If you can eat more green leafy vegetables it can help you to lose weight. Green leafy vegetables include collards, kale, lettuce, spinach, Swiss chard, beet greens, and turnip greens. Green leafy vegetables give a lot of nutrition and may lower the risk of cancer and other illnesses.
Soup and low calorie meals can help you feel full yet have fewer calories in them. If you eat soups try to avoid cream soups since cream soup is higher in calories then a broth soup. Rice is a good, filling food with low calories. When you eat rice it can make you feel full.
You should always be sure to drink plenty of fluids especially water and if you are trying to lose weight it is more important. Drinking water can help suppress your appetite and it also keeps you from getting dehydrated.
