Here are the simple, but well worth the time and effort steps to prevent a heart attack.
  • Keep your cholesterol low. Having high cholesterol leads to blocked arteries, this will lead to a heart attack sooner or later. Lower you're animal meats and other fat intake.
  • Stop smoking. The nicotine constricts your arteries all through the body, and it reduces the oxygen in the blood.
  • Change your diet. If your doctor doesn't suggestion I would still consider working with a nutritionist for good dietary guidelines to live with. Maintain a good weight for your body, which is different for each person. This would go a long way to not be diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Here are a few different foods that could help your heart and aid in maintaining a good balanced weight. Oat Bran is a good one to add to your morning routine. More fruits and vegetables in your diet will help you replace any fast foods that are high in fats. Use garlic in things you cook, or taking it as a supplement is another good way to get it into your diet. Eating raw onions promote thinning out your blood which will help prevent clotting.
  • Exercise Aerobically. 30 minutes of aerobic exercising 5 days a week will improve your hearts condition. By exercise your metabolism will speed up, you will feel better about yourself and you will have more energy to do other activities in your life.
  • Get your Blood pressure under control. Minimize your stress in every area of your life.
  • Get into taking time to relax and mediate. Check out yoga, it is known to reduce stress and give balance. Make the time to spend with family and friends to have fun with them. Feeling an emotional connection to the people you love will give an inner comforting feeling.
