Nature's Garden Organic Russet Potatoes from Maine Review

Surprise! Surprise! Organic Russet Potatoes from Maine Are Much Better Than Organic Russet Potatoes from Idaho

T. H. Pankey
The lil' lady makes a mean, and I mean a mean pan of breakfast potatoes: and it had been awhile since we'd had a bag of organic potatoes in the house, so that she could make that mean pan of breakfast potatoes she does so well. I ran across a bag of organic russet potatoes I'd never seen before: Nature's Garden Organic Russet Potatoes from Maine.

These organic potatoes were so good even the lil' lady burgeoned forth a couple of positive things about them, and particularly descriptive thoughts about food sprouting from her mouth just isn't her thing either. But, she dug one up from deep when she said, "these potatoes are so good, they're really..., they're so...fresh and earthy!"

Being the writer I am, which includes, for the most part, making sure the written word is being conveyed in such a way so as to be easily and accurately understood, I stopped cold, dropped the fork that isn't big enough for the size bites I want when eating her breakfast potatoes, or home-fried potatoes, and soaked in the moment: a moment in time when not only did she scoot on over to the tracks my train of thoughts spend a lot of time on, but "fresh and earthy" perfectly described what me and my taste buds were having so much trouble describing to myself the few minutes prior, while alone at the dining table.

She was still in the kitchen and hadn't a clue I had been unconsciously trying to root out what was making this particular plate of breakfast spuds so good, other than perhaps the oohs and ahs emanating from the grunting male figure just within earshot to her.

But, that's nothing too unusual around our kitchen and dining area. So, when she hopped aboard the food description train I sometimes ride, and then perfectly described Nature's Garden Organic Russet Potatoes from Maine, well, I'm sure you can appreciate how difficult it is to describe such an occurrence if you've ever experienced those fleeting moments in life when and where everything seems completely and perfectly harmonious for just a minute.

As alluded to earlier, I've never, at least knowingly, eaten organic potatoes from Maine, much less Nature's Garden Organic Russet Potatoes from Maine. After a little bit of research for this article, it seems Maine has quite the organic potatoes, too. Compared to Idaho organic potatoes not just a few opine Maine has much better organic potatoes. I can vouch for that, too.

Not too long before the bag of Nature's Garden Organic Russet Potatoes from Maine we had a bag of Eagle Eye Premium Organic ( Russet ) Potatoes ( from Idaho ). They were good, if only knowing they were organically-grown. Still, they were alright tasting taters, among other things that made them ok.

Don't let the two bags of potatoes, Nature's Garden Organic Russet Potatoes from Maine and Eagle Eye Premium Organic Russet Potatoes sit for sale next to each other, however. Even if Nature's Garden Organic Russet Potatoes from Maine are a little bit more expensive, which they're not, I'd pick up the "fresh and earthy" ones without so much as a second thought about the bag of Eagle Eye Premium Organic Russet Potatoes!
