Nature's Path Envirokidz Organic Penguin Puffs - Product Review

MStephany
Our family, for the most part, eats organic foods. So when we discovered Nature's Path a while back, we quickly became fans of their different blends of whole grain cereals.

Recently, Nature's Path has been taking a bit of a detour in terms of trying to lure kids (or at least the parents of children) into eating organically produced cereals. Enter the Envirokidz Organic brand. With a 1% portion of sales of Envirokidz products being donated to endangered species, habitat conservation and environmental education for kids, you can feel good buying this product. Sounds great, doesn't it? But what good would it do if kids don't want to eat the products? Nothing.

Here's the good thing, though. Kids like the Envirokidz products. I let my son and my daughter try the products. Unfortunately, I didn't get enough samples of this product for the whole family to get in on the fun. But both my kids liked the crunchy texture and the sweetness of the Penguin Puffs. My son really liked being able to take the sample pack to school and thought it was a great snack. Hmm... I think he may have given Nature's Path a marketing gimmick here. LOL My daugher just loved the sweetness and the cute penguin packaging.

Unfortunately, with my son taking his snack to school, he left the packaging there... and with it all the nutritional information. Sniff. I must train my assistants better!

Would we buy this product? Probably not. But then, we rarely purchase packaged cereals. But if you're a family who is trying to slowly wean your kids onto organic food, this is a good product to start with.
