One excellent exercise bike is the Nautilus R514 Recumbent exercise bike and here are some of the pros and cons of this bike.
Pros
This bike comes in parts so you need to spend some quality time with it to put everything together. The good news is the assembly is quite easy. The directions are clear and easy to follow. The same thing can be said about the owner's manual. Everything is laid out in simple terms so they are easy to understand.
Once assembled you'll see just how sleek-looking the bike is. The frame is sturdy and once you hop on and start pedaling you'll be amazed with the sound it makes. This bike is really silent so if you enjoy watching TV or listening to music while exercising there won't be any noise to bother you.
With the Nautilus R514 manual adjustment is unnecessary. All functions and features are electronically controlled so you only need to play with the touch screen console. It is really convenient. The console is backlit and you can tilt it so you can always make it face straight at you for easy reading.
Unlike those sub $200 exercise bikes the seat on Nautilus R514 is comfy and well-padded. You can slide the seat back and forth to find the best position. The handles on each side have the right height and correctly positioned so your hands can really rest when you're exercising.
Next is the pedal. If you're used to wearing your shoes while exercising (or if you have large feet) you're going to love them. The pedals are large and have non-slip textures. The magazine racks is located, not on the front, but below the seat. That way you can reach it while leaning on the seat.
Cons
The seat wobbles slightly when pedaling even after you tighten it as much as you can. Note that it wobble very slightly so I wasn't even sure to count it as a fault.
Conclusion
Even though it cost more than the average home exercise bikes the Nautilus R514 recumbent exercise bike is an excellent choice for anyone who is looking for a great exercise machine. Great workout programs combined with very useful and function bells and whistles. If you can spare $550 for an exercise equipment this is the one you should get.
