Looking at this team, it's pretty obvious why this would be a very heavily favored choice to go back to the finals. They've not lost in the finals yet and have the team chemistry to be able to get it done when it really counts. If last season proved anything, it was simply that they were simply ready to take on any team that comes along and really show them who's good when the lights are on bright and it's all on the line. It would be no shock to see them in contention to go straight back to that area and also for the Western Conference Finals. Looking at this team, they got a good line up and team chemistry, a much needed plus for them. If it looks to be easy, it won't be as they have a challenger coming up that may be able to give them a run for their money.
It's a shock to pick them after they choked last year to the Nuggets. However, this team was able to beat San Antonio in the post-season and go to the finals two seasons ago but only lost to the Heat. It is perhaps one of the major reasons why they can be considered a threat and besides they want to prove they're not choke artists. Dirk should really be ready to step up to the plate when it is necessary for those ever so important big games. As far as team chemistry, they may just be the only ones who can actually match the Spurs in terms of game play and winning games. In the end, it will come down to those teams.
Final Projections
It's a no brainer for this one. Looking for the solution to this problem, it is down to those teams but in the end it will be go right to the Spurs as they head back to the finals. Determined and waning more championships to go with their potential dynasty, San Antonio has at this moment, the most put together team since the Lakers won the Championship 3 times in a row and that was not too long ago. While the Mavericks may be a challenge to them, it will go straight to the Spurs for this one. Unless another team steps up to the plate, there will be a repeat for the Western Conference Finals.
Western Conference Champions: San Antonio SpursNow the Western Conference Finals have been selected, the only thing left is for the epic conclusion being the NBA Championship. Based upon projections, it looks to be a return match between the Cleveland Cavaliers and San Antonio Spurs. To find out who wins this one, be sure to read the NBA Finals predictions.
