NBA Finals Prediction

The NBA Finals features two veteran teams, and the two teams that have on titles in the past two seasons. The Lakers expected to be back to the finals after winning it last year and retaining most of it's team. Nobody believed that the Celtics were going to make it back to the Finals because of there age and poor end to the regular season. With the help from Rajon Rondo, the three Celtic future hall of famers have made it back in pursuit of there 2nd title in the past 3 years. Kobe Bryant is also on a mission though to further his place in history as one of the greatest players of all time.

The Celtics will have to contain Kobe the same way that they did to Lebron James when they beat the Cavaliers in the second round. Kobe's supporting cast is much better than Lebron's. but if they force other players to hit the big shots in the fourth quarter, then they have a better chance of winning. The Lakers are going to have a little trouble defending the celtics because they've been going with there small lineup with Lamar Odom at the power forward. I think that the Celtics will try to go down low to Kevin Garnett if Odom is matched up with him. While the Celtics may have little advantages, I don't see them derailing Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol's quest for back to back titles. The Lakers are playing too well right now, and I think the strain of the last couple series will wear on the Celtics. Neither team is that deep, so foul trouble could become a factor in this series. The X factor for the Celtics is Kendrick Perkins. He hasn't had a great postseason up to this point but he will need to use his size in this series as he will be the biggest player on either team. For the Lakers, Ron Artest is a the X factor. After struggling all playoffs, he hit the buzzer beater against the Suns and followed that with his best game of the postseason. If he continues that hot streak, the Celtics are in big trouble.
