NBA Odds Pick: Mavs Vs. Heat NBA Finals Game 3

Dirk the Hero Again or Will LeBron Get Revenge?

The Mavs vs. Heat NBA Finals Game 3 is going to be a big one, even among finals matchups. After the Heat choked away a big lead (15 points) late in Game 2, many are wondering what their psyche is like.

The NBA Finals odds for the game have the Mavericks as a -2 1/2 point favorite and the line has been moving slightly toward the Miami Heat.

Dallas comes into the game on a high note and the fans (along with owner Mark Cuban, of course) will be jacked up for this one to say the least. Sunday night's game will be a close one by all accounts and that means the winner will have to make plays in the clutch.

So, who is the best bet to get it done? The Mavs have Dirk Nowitzki of course, and he is battling a torn tendon on his non-shooting hand. Dirk made the plays down the stretch of Game 2 that got his Mavs the win, however.

Then there's the Heat, who seem to have some trouble figuring out who to go to in the clutch of games. Dwyane Wade looked like a man possessed in the early fourth quarter of the last game and put up impressive stats but LeBron James also needs shots down the stretch. That seems to be a bit of a hinderance to the Heat in many big games.

They still need to work out the kinks and they also have an injury to deal with as Mike Miller keeps battling an injured shoulder.

The Mavs play much better at home and more importantly shoot much better. Jason Terry will be the key in Game 3 along with JJ Barea as both have been on fire at homes in key moments during the 2011 NBA Playoffs.

For the purposes of the Game 3 Mavs vs. Heat odds, pick Dallas in this one to win by about six points.
